How to play

We give you a word. You answer with a word that has nothing to do with it, before the time runs out.

beach → algebraGood
beach → sandStrike

Algebra has nothing to do with a beach, so it scores points. Sand belongs on a beach, so it’s a strike.

Don’t go back to an earlier word either. If you saw dog earlier, puppy is a strike too.

The further away your word, the more points you get. Quick answers, long words and good answers in a row all score extra.

Three strikes and your run is over.

Look out for the golden word. It scores triple.

Three ways to play

Daily run: everyone gets the same ten words each day. Afterwards, see what everyone else said.

Letter run: your word must start with the letter we show you. We choose the letter that tempts you.

Endless run: keep going for as long as you can. The game plays by your rules too: every word it gives you has nothing to do with your last answer.

Party mode: pass one phone round a group. The game replies to each answer with an unrelated word for the next player.

Kids mode: a whole minute for every word, no ticking and no strike for running out of time. Just add more time. For a group of children, turn on Kids party in party mode.
